About Danielle
"My mission is to spark a lifelong love for the English language through the magic of puppetry, creativity, and imagination.
By combining interactive assemblies with engaging stories and my published books, I offer students a fun, fresh approach to reading and writing.
Through laughter, character-driven learning, and hands-on storytelling, I aim to build confidence, boost literacy, and help students see language not just as a subject—but as a superpower they already have inside them."
Q&A
When did you start teaching?
I've been a teacher since I was in my twenties, starting as a teacher of elementary education and expanding to other subjects such as science, esl, speaking, reading, comprehension and writing. I have been fortunate to have had many wonderful experiences in my teaching career, from teaching in traditional classrooms, to assemblies, to leading professional development workshops, and inspirational speeches to NEVER give up. I am a strong advocate for the power of education and I strive to use my work to help make a positive difference in the lives of students.
What have you learned in your journey?
Through my work, I have come to understand the power of reading and writing for the individual, the community, and the world. I believe that reading and writing are essential skills for success in every area (script writing, song writing, speeches, plays, books, ect. )and I am passionate about helping others learn and appreciate these skills.
What makes you different?
Oh boy! Trick question. I truly enjoy what I do. I will stop and talk to anyone about creativity and learning. I'll also engage in a two-hour conversation about mermaids "possibly" existing too. I love anything imaginative. I believe it's an endless world of possibilities out there and together we can tap into it.
What do you do when you aren't working?
In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing, as well as traveling, exploring new cultures, and learning about different parts of the world.
What is your biggest dream?
I've been a fan of Sesame Street since I was a baby. So, my biggest dream is to be on Sesame Street. People think its funny because I always ask, "Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?" I'm totally serious!
